"Not quite my tempo."

Let that sink in.

In the 2014 film "Whiplash," this phrase is more than a line.

It’s a lesson.

A sales reality -

↳ Your manager wants the deal closed faster.
↳ Your client wants more time to evaluate.
↳ You need more time on the deal.
↳ Your end of quarter is coming.
↳ Nothing is aligning!

Sales reps often face prospects who move at a different pace.

It’s tempting to push your tempo, but real success comes -

from aligning with the prospect’s rhythm.

Tempo alignment needs to be:

→ Intentional
→ Consistent

It’s best when it comes from:

→ Understanding the prospect’s needs.
→ Adapting your pitch accordingly.
→ Managing up your leadership.

Fletcher ultimately drives Neiman crazy…
