How this site handles your information
Last updated 11 October 2026. Short, because the site collects very little.
What is collected
Browsing this site does not require an account, and the site sets no cookies or trackers of its own. There is no advertising and no analytics script.
You give information only when you choose to:
- Subscribing to The Weekly Forecast. Your email address goes to the newsletter platform, Ghost (the-weekly-forecast.ghost.io), which sends you a confirmation link and manages your subscription. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link.
- Enquiries and “tell me when it’s ready”. These forms open an email in your own mail app addressed to dean@deanjmoon.com. Nothing is stored on this site; the email sits in Dean’s mailbox like any other.
- Booking a call. Booking happens on Calendly, under Calendly’s own privacy policy. This site only links there.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to run and secure the service.
Links to other services
Tiles and links lead to LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Substack, X, Ghost, Calendly and basis-io. Each has its own privacy policy, which applies once you are there.
How it is used
Your email address is used to send what you asked for: the newsletter, a reply to your enquiry, or one note when a section goes live. It is not sold or shared beyond the services named above.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue. To ask what is held about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email dean@deanjmoon.com. Dean is in Australia and handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Changes
If the site starts collecting more, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
