The post

𝗡𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸, 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁.

In August 2022, my job ended.

Not by choice.

It’s a familiar story. A lot of people have been through it in the last five years.

That doesn’t make it easier when it’s you.

You start questioning everything—your value, your skills, whether anyone will care about what you have to say. You realise how quickly you can go from essential to expendable.

Around that time, I started writing online.

Not because I had a strategy. I just needed to do something—something to feel relevant in a world that didn’t see me that way anymore.

It sounds a bit cheesy.

But I know that feeling is real for a lot of people. It’s not a fun place to be—trying to find footing in a world that valued you last week and seems to have moved on.

I joined a writing cohort.

It gave me structure.

A reason to show up.

That reason mattered.

After it ended, I tried to recreate that.

So I started running writing sprints.

Since August 2024, every 44 days:

Show up. Write. Share. Repeat.

It’s not about me—it works because people keep showing up.

Most people want to write.

Or say something. But they get stuck figuring out where to begin.

These sprints help people start—and more importantly, keep going.

I’ve met a lot of people through this. They wouldn’t call themselves “amazing,” but I’ve learned from them.

Reaffirmed what I know. Challenged my thinking. Even borrowed a few ideas (with credit).

I’ve built a voice. Found a rhythm. Learned how to use social without cringing.

And I’ve seen what happens when people show up consistently—even when no one’s watching.

Writing online isn’t glamorous.

It’s exposing. Frustrating. Often ignored.

But it teaches you things. And if you stick with it, it pays off—not always in likes or leads, but in clarity, confidence, and connection.

If you’re wondering if writing is worth it—it is.

But the only way to know is to start.

Write what’s in your head. Hit publish.

Do it again tomorrow.

And then again.

That’s how it begins.

No CTA today...

Just an honest reflection on something that’s become part of my routine —

and something I genuinely appreciate.

See you tomorrow -

Moonie
